THE gâteau Arc-en-ciel / Rainbow cake

Rainbow cake

Memorial Day today, début officieux de l'été. Pour fêter cela, THE gâteau, le must du moment, j'ai nommé le Rainbow Cake.

Ingredients :
1 préparation de base nature (Alsa Mamie Gâteau par exemple, ou 1 recette quatre-quart maison)
Ingrédients indiqués sur le paquet
Colorant alimentaire en gel (6 couleurs)
Glacage et Paillettes multicolores pour la décoration


Préparer la pâte selon les indications données sur le paquet. Répartir la pâte dans 6 bols et ajouter le colorant alimentaire(rouge, orange, jaune, vert, bleu, violet).  Bien mélanger.





Préchauffer le four (suivre les indications données sur le paquet)




Beurrer et fariner un moule à manqué. Verser la première couleur au centre du moule (rouge, si on suit les couleurs de l'arc-en-ciel), puis verser la seconde couleur au centre de la première, et ainsi de suite jusqu'à la sixième couleur.

Enfourner le temps indiqué. A la sortie du four, laisser refroidir sur grille puis décorer selon son goût. Miam.

Ingredients :

1 box white cake mix (18 ounce)
Ingredients listed on the box
frosting
gel food coloring
rainbow candy sprinkles

Green gel

Directions :

Grease and flour two 9" round cake pans.


Mix cake according to box directions, then separate into 6 bowls.
Mix in gel coloring (red, orange, yellow, blue, green, violet if you are doing the rainbow) and stir well.



Pour the first color (red for example) in the middle of each cake pan. Take the next color, and pour it in the very middle of the first, and so on.

Bake as stated on the box, and allow to cool for a couple minutes before unmolding.






Shave a little off one layer to make a flat surface (this is so the other piece can stack without tipping, and put some filling in between the layers, eventually), then frost the cake et top with sprinkles. Yum....
